Is there a variety that will grow all year in the south? If not, if a variety becomes available in the future, do you think most farmers, in the south, will switch over to annual ryegrass.
just kind of a curiosity question

I would switch over in a heartbeat. I would also love to be the person who invents this grass as I think he could rub elbows with Bill Gates. Heck, I'd settle for a good fescue that could tolerate our heat and humidity. But something that could tolerate our heat and humidity and still grow through the winter months - man that would be a dream come true.

That would be in the same catagory as a weather machine that would make an inch of rain every week instead of 4 inches every 4 weeks.

I'll bet some smart plant geneticist will come up with such a ryegrass one day. Nothing surprises me anymore.
