Thinking about purchasing a purebred Angus heifer. What are some of the traits and considerations that should be made when making the selection. The plan is to show the heifer next year as a 4-H project and than keep her for breeding stock. Also what is a reasonable price these days for quality stock?
I don't know about Angus per se, but you can pick up some good breeding heifers for $500.... the prices go up from there. $500 is for a six month old, unpapered heifer.
