Here are a couple of pics of my first heifer calf and the momma cow. Calf is one month old in the pics. Opinions and critique welcome. :cowboy:View attachment 1

Thanks everyone, I'm real excited about the calf.

The previous owner had intended to flush the cow, but I bought her before he got a chance. :lol2: That calf is out of Woodhill Foresight, I want to try one or two more bulls with her and see which breeding does the best, then I will probably do some flushing.

What about the dam's side?

Yes, the calf has her on second generation on the sires side, and third generation on the dams side. The dam was linebred on New Trend 315 also.

I like the cow. We can wait and see on the calf. It is a bit small for me to call.

That's my thoughts as well. I really like the way she looks at this point, but we have to wait and see how she grows, it's looking good so far though.

Gammer cow family goes back to 1948.

Actually older than that. This one has no date and is about three generations older.

Are you going to call her backgammon?
