IN THESE OTHER RANCH I HAD A PURE BLACK ANGUS FOR 15 YEARS THEN 9 YEARS AGO I CHANGE ALL THE ANGUS BULLS FOR CHAROLAIS AND WORKS REALLY GOOD ON WEITH AND SALES. RIGTH NOW I HAVE HALF OF MY COWS SOLID BLACK AND THE OTHER HALF WITHE AND SOME SMUKIES, SAME FOR MY REGISTRED BULLS. BUT THE HAIFERS ARE MOSTLY WITHES BUT REALLY GOOD ONES ON WEITH TO SALE, AND DONT WANT TO LOOSE BLACK REPLEASEMENTS. SO WHAT I DID THESE MONTH IS SEPARATE THE BLACK COWS FROM THE WITHE ONES AND SIRED THEME WITH THE DIFERENT COLOR BULL. MY GOOL IS TO GO BACK TO ALL COWS BLACK WITH CHAROLAIS BULL I THINK THESE WAS THE BEST BUSSINES MOMENT. WATH DO YOU THINK ABOUT IT ANY COMENTS WILL HELP.

I have been thinking for the past fews years that in the hot part of the
country that I think that you are in, it is possible that Red Angus or Red or Black AngusPlus would do best. You would retain the maternal traits of the Brangus, and have some extra quality from the added amt. of ANGUS
Blood in your cattle. The Reds should do better in the heat than the blacks.

I agree with the use of Brangus. You will have more hybrid vigor, and if you need thethe bulls in the short run you could buy good Black Brangus bulls in your area or in Northeast Mexico (Nuevo Leon or Tamaulipas)

i dont know what colour you want but if you put angus with charolais you will mostly get grey to white calves but they will be good calves no matter what the cattle .we are using a angus cross charolais bull over crossbred cows and have all been good calves.

Keeping in mind that if you get a wrong "nick" you can end up with some rat tails
