what's the average birth wieght on those yield grade calves- any calving problems???? i dont have the sheet here but i think its calving ease was around +8 and its BW # was only +1 or so.

Yeah we have been using select sires for quite a few years now both on dairy and beef cattle.

Well, weve only had 6 but out of those there have been no problems. The calves are rather small, one was about a week and half early and weighed 61lbs, two calves were out of heifers and weighed 50 and 51 pounds (too small for me), the the other three were between 70 and 80 lbs. Those two heifers had the calves by themselves with no problems.
