Aluminum trailer floor traction

Help Support CattleToday:

The man I bought my Wilson from says that they are the only aluminum trailer he will sell as they are the only make that will hold up to the places the cowboys take them. In this country they will drag a brand new trailer full of cows into places I don't like to ride a quad to.
My Wilson is 20 years old and has hauled thousands of head. Replaced the brakes once, a light or two, and worked on the wiring plug a few times. Use it several times a week still.

A big difference in trailers is how they are used. Are they are used a couple times a year, washed out and shined up or loaded heavy several times a week and almost never cleaned. Light loads of 4wt calves or overloaded with fed steers or slaughter cows. Needs are different for each situation. I have seen 2 trailers recently that have had the neck broke where it's connected to the body of the trailer. Loaded with 1400lb steers.
