I was wondering if anyone had any idea what would make this model tractor start but then stop running, seems to run OK in cold weather but in warmer weather it dies. We already changed the fuel filter, bled the lines, thought it may be the injector pump but was told when they go the tractor is just dead, so just wondering if anyone has some ideas?

does it have an inline or rotary type pump? some of the rotary type pumps have an additional fuel filter right where the fuel line goes onto the pump head.. There's also a check valve and additional low pressure pump there.

I can't say for sure there's nothing wrong with the pump, but I can say there's nothing wrong with the high pressure side of the pump... perhaps that low pressure pump is gummed?


My friend has a White powered 4 cylinder genset that he accidentally ran out of fuel, and since then it has done the same thing.. I think he replaced the fuel filter and bled and bled it and I think it's running again.. I'll ask him about it.
