Do you all think 30 inches is too wide for cow calf operation? Average cow size is around 1400 with 1600 being the largest if you exclude the bull. Old one was 26 and the bull had trouble fitting.
 
my pipe corrals ally is 28in wide.but i think your wise in making your ally 30in.you might have trouble with calves turning around in the ally but you can live with that.
 
30 is what we use and it's fine. Little calves will sometimes turn around in it, but hey would probably turn around in 12 inches if they have a mind to
 
Mine is 30 and there are one or two wide loads that squeeze thru including a bull.
