Yes me too. I don't put much stock in opinions of folks that didn't know what shoes were the majority of their life.
I knew what they were, just never wore them much. I was in boots from an early age.
I do try to stay away from anything sold to the haute couture yuppies/urban 'cowboys' that buy all their 'manly footwear' at Tractor Supply.
When I lived near San Angelo, I bought a pair from these folks, mainly because my wife worked there for awhile. They wuzn't cheap, and to me, weren't any better than the TLs I always wear.

I've abused the heck out of these tony lamas , had heels and soles replaced but they still clean up and shine enough to wear to church.
