I have a heavy bred hereford cow that is showing some pinkeye signs so I was going to use LA 300 from Norbrook. I haven't had a pinkeye case in a number of years so to verify that LA300 was okay to use on pregnant cows, I googled it.
The wonderful AI response was this

"""You should never use any form of tetracycline in a pregnant animal. It is known to cause fetal toxicity. So no, LA 300 is not safe.Feb 17, 2020"""

Not thinking this was right, I went to the Norbrook website and looked at the label and it showed nothing on preg cows which usually means you are good to go. Just to make sure I hit the "contact us" form and asked. Within a hour a very nice lady vet called me to let me know I was correct in my thinking and her only warning was to be gentle with the cow to avoid stress. Excellent quick customer service.

So let this be a warning with AI based search engines becoming the norm. Verify all info.

The vet lady from the company said they have never had problems enough to warrant a warning. She did ask me how I was administering it. Sub Q is what I told her. She did say to be careful if your are putting it in with a IV as the bovine can get to much at once and cause anaphylactic shock.
