Abscess??

I have a question about what looks like a huge abscess.
Can anyone confirm? I have not poked it yet. I was told the steer was just a bit over one year.

I can't really make out much of where it is. In what part of the steer did you find it? An abscess is certainly a possibility, only one way to find out but I would take all the meat away first if that is what you were doing in butchering it.
