It's been around 20 years since we raised tobacco, and longer than that since we raised the plants in ground beds. I was still in school at that time so I wasn't around during the bed preparation and sowing. I remember that we often had some tomato plants along side the tobacco plants. I think they put them out sometime in February, and then covered them over with cotton/canvas material. I would think that they sowed it all at the same time, cause they would not have wanted to disturb the tobacco seed/plants. My question is do I have the time frame of February right or was it later in March, and is it too early to sow tomato seeds in the next week or so?
