Yesterday, found a new calf down in the mud. The cow had abandoned it, and I brought to the barn, and tube fed it colostrum, knowing that it probably wouldn't live, which it didn't. This morning, the sun was shining, and another calf was born and doing well. This afternoon, 3 more calves were born. Fortunately, we were there tagging the calves, and discovered one of the calves, had just been born in a branch. Got it out the water, and the cow back across and with her baby. Had almost left the field, before seeing the calf in the branch. Thank the Lord, a truly blessed day.

Sounds like the bull was busy in mid-late May last year. Hope the rest of your calving is a breeze.

Thank you, JMJ Farms. We timed AI bred all most of the cows and heifers last year, then put bulls in shortly afterwards.
