Thanks, guys. Calves are looking great this year, what with all the moisture and grass.

We have a couple Blue roan cows, and a few red roans as well.

I really liked the 122 roan cow, and her calf looks great. Is the cow straight shorthorn? Calf angus sired?

Your 2 year olds looked in great shape, hopefully they passed a milestone and bred back for ya.

Thanks, guys. I'm glad you all enjoy the photos!!

MO_cows, I really don't know how much Shorthorn that cow has. We bought her mama, who was a blue roan hereford marked cow. So, I'm guessing she wasn't more than 1/4 Shorthorn. The sire of 122 was an Angus/Simm bull. So as you can tell, not too much Shorthorn left. Her calf is also Angus/Simm sired. As far as the 2 year olds, I am pretty happy with how they look. Some of them were pretty thin going out to pasture. The Red Brf was really thin, I sure hope she's bred back, as she has been raising a pretty nice calf, and she's been putting weight on too.
