spring calves, born mid to late march. taken last night just before another rain!

Nice looking cattle. Grass looks good too. We are dry enough and hot enought now that a good rain won't grow much grass, just keep it from going dormant. Good for baling hay but not for growing grass.
 
those are some goodlooking calves.an they love being in the belly deep grass.you can tell they are growing like weeds.
 
thanks. grass is good this year- don't want to jinx the rain but we could sure use some sunshine. been raining nearly every day, no hay put up in our area to date, crops are not growing well and a lot is still to be planted. pretty much too late for corn now, and with another couple of weeks will be getting late for beans. weather man says 4 days this week with sunny skies - that should help everyone in our area.

Would love to trade you a couple weeks of sunshine and wind (only 13 mph today) for a day of rain. :D Getting bad enough around here, the weeds aren't even growing.

sorry to hear that. we've come off of a 4 yr dry spell up here. i heard the other day that we have had approx. 30" of rain to date this year and our annual average is 36".

One thing never changes FAT is still the purtiest color. Wish we had your grass.
