A few lessons I've learned since I started reloading

Number one: its not fun pulling 200 bullets back apart because they don't perform. Do test batches of 5 and test fire them before doing a production run. Apparently 1911's don't like light loads and won't cycle right because of the spring is heavy.

Number 2:
Don't try to tumble 45 and 9 cases at the same time. They mate together and get stuck like teens on prom night. But it takes more than 3 minutes to separate them.

I'm sure there will be more

Ah grasshopper you have learned well.
If I start a new recipe I load five test rounds before making a run.
Stick to these recipes and you won't be pulling bullet's .

Good info. Thanks. I don't see any info on that page for the vn350 powder though. I k ow its close to unique but......
I figured I would rather pull bullets than to replace the spring with a lighter one. Lesson learned

For pistol and shotgun you can't beat Unique or Universal.
Like Benchmark on the rifles.
Here is another good site.

Rather then pulling them putting in a milder spring would be my choice. Only takes about a minute, 2 if you're slow.

Already pulled them yesterday and don't have a lighter spring. I'm loading them to 7.1 as we speak.

Every man should have a couple of Wolf spring packs for a 1911 laying around.

I ordered a set just for replacements.

Learned another lesson today. Loading 100 rounds of 270 is painfully slow when you measure each grain out on a scale and make each round exactly the same as the last. But they're extremely accurate that way.

Another lesson I learned is my daughter is a great shot. She drilled 3 rounds of the 270 loaded at 100 yds. Two of which doubled up in the same hole and the third touching
