A few calf pictures from today

Help Support CattleToday:

I like how you put the ear tags in the right ear for bull calves, and the left ear for heifer calves to quickly tell which is which--very clever!

Thanks

The first calf is C32 he is a Coleman Charlo 0256 Reg#16879074 and OCC Dixie Erica 744P Reg# 14814844 the last calf is C25 a SAV Resource 1441 Reg# 17016597 and RB Bridget 831 C11 5X25 Reg# 16099987.

The two middle pictures are of C21 an ET calf out of our SAV Blackcap May 0524 cow reg# 16697983 and our old herd sire Coleman EXT 6149 reg# 15730734 we have three bulls and one heifer out of this mating. Shortybreeder putting the ear tags in that way sure helps us when we are out looking at the calves, it also works well at calfhood vac time when the vet needs that ear for the tattoo and tag. We are planning on running one group of calves through the chute on Friday to put in EID tags and worm them, I can't wait to see what kind of WDA we have thus far. We took a bunch more pictures yesterday but I was having a time getting them downloaded last night I am going to try again tonight since I ran some scans to clean up the computer last night hopefully it will work a bit better. I have a photo of the C21's heifer mate that I would like to share.

Edited to add some of the pictures I couldn't get loaded last night. This is C19 she is and OCC Missing Link 830M reg# 14456399 X Gizmo Evergreen 907 528 8005 reg# 16701396 I like pretty much everything about this heifer. The negative I see is the set of her tail head I would like to level it out a bit but other than that I like her.

The heifer on the left is C42 another of the ET calves out of the 6149 X 0524 mating and the other is the C25 heifer out of 1441 and 831RB
