A bull from Arkansas

A neighbor dropped his bull off with some open cows this summer. He stood by the fence and bellowed at my yearling steers for a day, then jumped the fence and came across the road for... Must have been some real ugly BA cows.

Steve your neighbor didn't get his bull from Arkansas also did he

I really wasn't too concerned until this morning I drove by to check on them

on that part of the ranch we have a wild WHITE billy goat running around and lo and behold this goat and bull are paired up together loving on each other
I have always herd of strange things happening south of the border in Ark but now I am starting to believe they weren't just rumors

Probably been too warm. When the weather is hot and sticky that's no time for dunkin dickey. When the frost is on the punkin THAT'S the time for dickey dunkin

I've seen him get the job done at 98F an 90% humidity. Could be he don't like ugly cows.

Most critters from that bulls neck of the woods do there work in the dark.

I take it you don't know much about billy goats. That bull better look carefully behind him when he starts to lay down and when getting up. :shock:

AC that goat is just teaching that bull to walk. That bull is from the delta where the land is flat as a pancake. Them flint rock ridges of yours makes him think he trying to walk on marbles. So the bull is following the goat around till he gets used to them razorback ridges and them rolling flint rocks.

thats why I agreed to use him in the first place was because of that high fertility down there in the Delta
just didn't account for needing Char cows

That is what has me worried the last time I was down there most of what I seen was crossbred lil ones running around

I got to thinking it could of been the way you had him locked up he thought he was in jail and had turned to the same gender for gratification

I am not old, I am just well aged like a good bottle of scotch
seriously we do have a goat that has been on the ranch for at least 7 yrs and you want to talk about Big and Wild he can disappear faster than a deer and he is solid white is kinda amazing that he lived to a mature age with all the coyotes and other varmits we have around
he also travels pretty far distances when it is breeding season as the part of the ranch that is his main territory is 4-5 miles from my nearest neighbor that has goats and he has shown up over there at breeding season
