With scenarios like this, I always wonder how it would work out financially. While those portions of the state use a lot of money, they also pour a decent amount in.

That was the flaw with the california split. All the tax base is on the west side. It got to the point that san diego and northern cal wanted in but they didn;t want san bernardino as part of the east side
