Son decided that he wants to show some calfs. I do not raise cattle for show but see what you think of letting him use these two? I think that the 31 calf needs more depth and the 37 calf does not set well in her pasturns. Both seem heavy in the front and should be cleaner in the neck area. I have some that would probally be better , however they are too young for the class cut off date of March 1, 2010. The clipping of 37 is terrible so try to overlook that. They are both mid Febuary calves.

They're both ok for a first time show experience. I like 37 the best. They are both too leggy for me. Good luck with them.
 
You described their "problems" just fine. You can "see" what's wrong with them.
I would go with needing depth rather than weak pasterns. She's very young, might develop.
And I agree, they are both pretty "leggy".
