My son is going to show at the local fair.This will be his first year.The steers weigh about 550#.They were just weaned and castarated.They are getting 12# of grain right now,and eating about 1/4 of a bale of clover hay.We have corn silage too.But no one has ever fed silage to steers for the fair.Can someone help me with what to feed and what not to.The grain mixture has corn,oats,beet pulp,cotton seed,calf pellets and molasses in it.Can some one give their advice.
