The other alternative for steep ground is a cyclone spreader and pelletized lime. Pellet lime $149 a ton picked up, ag lime $17 ton delivered. It might be a nitchmarket for a spreader such as this, but i do see a use for it.

I spread 20 tons of good ag lime this spring with my $150 drop spreader. It wasn't fast, but it was cheap and effective.
