Still haven't watched old Boss Cow drop a calf. Was working on the chicken house yesterday and looked out to check the cows and noticed a large calf hanging around Boss and wondered whick one that was....after the calf wobbled I saw that it was just cleaned and knew that I'd missed it again.

Had to have a friend help weigh the little guy, I couldn't pick him up...110#. Think we'll call hin Atlas. On the teat as soon as he could stand and was working on the one "coke bottle" quarter that Boss has. Daddy was a high birth weight Lim...older straw and she always has had big calves.

That's a big strapping boy! We have several older cows that always have monster calves. I worry about that - even with a low BW bull they'll manage to cook up something like that - Like I say, some of these girls could pop out a sherman tank sideways and not break a sweat! Good for you!
