About the same here- The other day my wife wanted me to go shopping with her- she knows how much I hate shopping, but I figured that she needed help packing things. Then she explained that this was "Senior Discount" day at the store and since she is still a child-bride she needed me to qualify.

Or buying some canning jars at Walmart, extra rings/lids, the cashier says, "wonder why these are made of glass if you say you are using them for canning your veg.'s, and maybe some older chickens.
Speaking of leftovers, its burger night.

I also remember it. I am still making it without the McDonalds. ugh!!!!
With WalMart closing down so many Mom and Pop retailers it is hard to make it without patronizing WalMart sometimes, whether you want to or not.
I heard someone say a few days ago that he had to go to WalMart to buy something because the closest independant retailer that had the product was like about 80 mo. away.

I do not eat at McDonalds at all .(closest one is 30 miles) and i don't go to Wal-mart unless i just have to. :(

Not to give Walmarts,Kmarts anymore free advertising but,,,due to their volume, food prices usually beat Kroger and etc. As always, when we have a plumbing problem(as an example), we head for Mom & Pop, who will listen to our problem and for the most part give a good solution.
Haven't been to a McD's since the kids were 8 or 9. Never like the half done burger to much. Now they come by here to pick up a 1 1/2 lb pkg.
label beef burger "not for sale" out of the freezer. Oh well, at least they still come by once a month, sometimes more in the winter months.
Sure miss some of those times.
