I was thinking about getting a roller pump and using it to do some yard watering, have a creek that's close to the house, save my well pump ?
good idea ?
good luck

I use to use my roller pump to fill up my 100 gallon spray tank out of the creek and pond. It would take 20 minutes to fill up the tank. I finally give up and bought a 3.5hp water pump with a 2" port. I can now fill up a tank in a couple of minutes.
As slow as roller pumps pump, you would be better off using your well or buy a gas powered pump as I did.

I'd throw a filter in there AHEAD of the pump if you are useing a creek or groundwater. Roller pumps don't last that long in clean water. Some kind of centrifugal pump is likely a better buy.
