$3.00 a lb?!

I called a local Craigslist ad today. The seller was selling 11 weaned calves 400-500 lbs. and he said he would take $3.00 a lb. for them. I said I bet you will!! I know prices are high but they're not that high in this area!!

The Sulphur Springs report is NOT what I've seen here in my county. Someone posted that same report elsewhere, and I questioned if they had copied it accurately. I have to wonder if the barn checked it for typos especially on the light weights.

Heard on the radio at lunch Brahman heifers going for $3 and they were heavier than that. F1s were like $270-280.

That quote covers the low to the top end, plain dairy or longhorn to a fancy #1. They get them all there.
