.22 shorts

I was almost out o .22 shorts so I bought some .22 LR quiets ,because shorts are hard to find,
has any one used them they are 40gr and shoot 720 feet per sec. Walmart sell them for 3.40 a box of 50
shorts are 27gr and shoot 750 feet per sec I just found some of them for almost 10.00 per 100 round box
what would be best , I use them when trapping in and around metro areas when I need something that does not make much noise and shoot squirrels with them sometimes depending on where I am at.
 
Not sure where they came from but have a box of the longs. They are pretty quite. Not sure what your using but they will probably cycle better if it's not single shot.

One time the trapping partner shot a coyote with a CB cap it ricocheted of its head and darn near hit me. Bothered me a lot more than the coyote.

Never used them on anyting bigger then cats/coons
