I thought maybe your cows took a vacation - got stuck on #12.

What caused the hiatus was the stragglers. I stuck 9 of the first 10 cows on first service. Then I had a couple that came in a little later. Then I did my second service. The last one is a heifer that absolutely would not stand to be AIed. I mean that LITERALLY. She is by nature gentle as a mouse but when you start the AI procedure she actually goes down in the chute. I tried 2 times and never even got the semen in her. I finally had the vet come out and he gave her an epidural. She is due November 2.
