I posted this in the show board but I figured I'd put it here too so the non board venturers could see.

Like every other show steer I've ever posted this guy is going into a hoof and hook competition based on supermarket specs. So he gets judged on hoof, then auctioned, then judged on the hooks. This bloke is a little gelb steer. He's about 350kg as of 2 weeks ago, another 6 weeks to go and we're aiming to have him just under 450kg so he's the top of the middle weight class. He's just been rinsed in the first pic so you can really see the muscle expression, second one is before the wash. He's parked on an angle in both cases so he isn't standing 100% but they're good enough photos. 2nd photo shows his topline off a lot better.

He looks like he should at least be competitive. I would like to see him set up square.

We should be working on ringcraft and stuff this week so I'll see if I can get something better. I definitely think he'll be competitive. Hard act to follow with my heifer that won lightweights last year though haha. She was a baldy x gelb.
