Additional info came through today:
First, the specs that most want to know. I'll put the comparable
dimension of the current design in parentheses next to it.
- Front leg room - All: 41.0 (41.0)
- Rear leg room - Quad: 36.8 (36.7)
- Rear leg room - Crew: 39.4 (44.2 MegaCab)
The Quad Cab is essentially the same physical size as the current
design. The Crew Cab is 9 inches longer than the Quad - the Quad with
6' 4" bed is the same 140-inch wheelbase as the Crew with 5' 7" bed (and
Regular cab with 8 foot bed).
The Quad is no longer available with the 8-ft bed.
5.7L: 380 hp @ 5600 rpm, 404 lb-ft @ 4000 rpm, redline 5800
4.7L: 310 hp @ 5650 rpm, 330 lb-ft @ 3950 rpm, redline 6000
3.7L: 215 hp @ 5200 rpm, 235 lb-ft @ 4000 rpm, redline 6000
For the go-fast crowd, there will be an R/T model - 2wd regular cab with
the 6' 4" bed, the Hemi, and a unique 4.10 axle - timed at 6.1 seconds 0-60.
Rack & pinion steering across the board... regular cab short bed 19.0:1
ratio and 3.5 turns lock-to-lock - Quad/Crew/Reg-long bed 17.89:1 ratio
and 3.3 turns.
GVWR:
- Regular short bed 6025-6350 depending on engine/drivetrain
- Regular long bed 6600
- Quad 6700
- Crew 6800
Payload:
- highest: Regular long bed 3.7L/auto: 1850 pounds
- Crew 4x4 5.7L: 1360
Best tow model:
- Regular cab short box with 5.7L and 3.92 axle - 9100 lbs trailer
weight, GCWR 14,000
2010 models will add the 5.7L dual-mode hybrid and the Cummins diesel.
These engines will boost fuel economy an estimated 25-40%.
