use mineral oil instead of diesel.. sticks better and they cows won't hate you as much.

Where do you get bulk mineral oil?
All I found are 1 gallon jugs at TSC for over $15. I did buy one of those to put on the face bullet on the mineral barrel, but would go broke spraying it everywhere.

Can get cooking oil at the dollar store for $6/gal. Works well with insecticide for fly control.

You can "make" your gateway taller by strapping a longer pole to the existing pole.

You might even just let it hang "down" on one side, so they have to go by it, in & out, to get them used to it.

This is exactly what I do. You have to be smarter than the cattle and allow them to get acquainted with the rub on their own terms without pressure or duress. The slower you go the faster they learn to accept and appreciate it. :nod:
