15 month old bull ?

I`m thinking about keeping one of my Simmental bull calves for a bull to use this fall. I have 16 cows s and will A.I. them first then let the bull catch them. The bull will is out of Quantum leap and a Cowboy Cut cow and will be 15 months old by then I`m thinking he should be up to the job by then what do you all think ?

Any decent bull would be up to that task by 15 months. The question is whether he's a decent bull. If your calving window is important to you, get him tested before turnout.

If he passes his breeding soundness exam a 15 month old bull should be able to cover 16 cows on his own. If you have good A.I. Conception rates it should be a cake walk for him.
