Our humidty is low, so the heat index is only 117 degrees.

I don't care what breed you have, it's too hot, for man or beast.
 
those cows know what todo in the heat.lay in the shade where its nice an cool.they sure are contented.those are some nice looking cows.
 
I's hot in North Arkansas,too. We went out on the 4 wheelers for 30 minutes at 5 and I was never so glad to get back inside. I still haven't cooled off. Most of our cows were holding the shade down but a few ventured out to try to graze. Our pastures are burnt up now-the crunch when you drive over them. Praying for rain!
