A buddy of mine weaned a massive bull calf. His adjusted weaning weight is 1017 pounds! I offered to buy him as a clean up bull . What's a good offer? His reg #9692589.

a couple of questions how old was he at weaning? and what is the creep fed recipe?

930 lbs ish. 6 months old. Free choice winter wheat , 10 pounds a day of 16 percent starter.

930-100lb birth weight divided by 180 days = 4.6lb per day. Very good. But he looks so short framed I wouldn't have him as a gift. But very impressive growth.

By pushing a calf that hard you've hurt longevity and fertility, not to mention goodluck for any commercial guy trying to make money out of 1700 to 2000 pound cows.

I think the calf has very good conversion. 10 pounds a day of grain is less than what some of the big breeders feed, and they don't achieve weights like that.
