I bought a 10' brush cutter over the weekend from a farm sale, it's in very good shape the guy bought it new and used it around his farm. It was dirty hadn't been cleaned but the price was right. I'm told it's a Sidewinder but I cannot find a model number or anything on it to verify that. The gear boxes are round and say they are made in Italy.

I am concerned now I cannot find anything anywhere that would suggest Sidewinder is still even in business I think Bush Hog used some of those gearboexs on some batwing models just wasn't sure if anyone knew anything about Sidewinders.

The mower runs and operates as it should no issues but wondering if I'll have issues trying to get parts in the future. I don't think it's very old but I cannot even find a similar model when I do a google search. I will take a picture and post it here later this evening maybe someone can help me identify a model number or somehting.

Lots of parts are interchangeable. I use JD slip clutch discs on my Kelly Ryan 3pt. Brush mower. They bolt right on.

Finding places with parts in stock to compare or people working there that will even attempt to look for you is the problem.

They all want to look in their computer and have it here for you tomorrow. 😔

After a little more research looks like I can still get parts for the gear boxes and drivelines.....

They are Bondioli & Pavesi gear boxes and drivelines, really pleased with my purchase its very heavy duty and in great shape. Not to mention I got a great deal on it so I'm happy.
