1 down and 10 to go/ 8 down 3 to go

# 4 made his arrival about 9:30 Wednesday night . I found her about 6 in labor watched her for about 30 minutes and decided to go to the house and eat a bite of supper. Went back at 8:30 and saw feet . Right position but no progress so I called my son . Got her in the chute and with only a hand pull he got him out . Rascal was alive and vigorous ! Son said he believed that was his first live calf pull . Told him that's because we didn't wait too long . Mom and calf were getting to know each other as we left . 4 out of 11 , we'll call that a 1/3 of the way there .

Looks like a 2-3 week wait on the last 4 . I know one may be a late May or early June calf wrote it down when she bred , just got to find it ! 🤠

Dang that one looks about ready to wean! :)
He's a biggun ! Looks like a foal ; all legs ! One front is wanting to buckle a little with him and he not got everything coordinated exactly. I think he'll be fine . Nursed and momma very attentive to him ! Lithuania vet lady would be proud of this one !

Heifer not the biggest bag and otherwise not dilated much , so she had me fooled . Feel blessed with our luck so far . Friends son had 8 big pretty black angus heifers bred to a Hereford bull . First calf died , second calf ok , 3rd calf dead and heifer pinched. After a month of picking her up and working with her finally put her down. 4th calf ok . 5 th calf the heifer walked off and left it and fights and kicks it . Has to be discouraging to this young man !
