https://issuu.com/t-bar-c/docs/supreme_complete24web Is the double muscle gene (myostatin) the secret to Speckle Park cattle, as well? Breed carriers to non-carriers. ...So Speckled never caught on in the USA because they don't qualify for CAB and the USDA frowns on the double muscle gene?

Where do I go From Here?

I had bred heifer calves, but I blamed it on my wide calving window. There was a bull calf born 3 months ? before the other calves. After weaning, I found an aborted fetus in the barnyard. Worked the heifers and found more pregnancies. Let the bigger ones keep 'em and aborted the smaller ones...

    Heifer Bull

Average birthweight. Not low birthweight and not huge either. Allow the heifers to grow up, so they are not bred too young.

    Everyone has one..

I thought she was still growing. Her hips are higher than her shoulders and the tail isn't touching the ground. But I guess she is mature since she's 6 years old.

Suggestions on Angus bull to use ?

I would try Hoover Dam, based on EPDs. JA Earthmover D21 AAA# 20509503 Born 11/20/2022 so I would wait several months to breed her. I think her low scores are milk, claw, hair shedding (hs), and marbling. I like her growth. The birth weight to yearling weight spread is decent, but she requires...

    Mini cattle are more profitable

Glad somebody is making money. Take advantage of your market while it lasts. I wouldn't think the $2000 calf market will last forever. Dairy x beef cross calves in my area seem to be the rage; I don't understand it.

    Belgian blue cattle

Your cattle look good. Thank you for posting photos and videos. I don't believe "weak calf syndrome" is breed specific. Is there a "hyper calf syndrome?" I have seen that, too. I'm curious about the myostatin gene mutation that causes double muscling. Seems an increase in muscle mass would...

    Blinding Dairy Bulls ???

Estrotect sticker {click here} on the tailhead. When doing chores, glance and see the color of the sticker. I've heard Jersey bulls are more aggressive than Holstein bulls. Some people say Jersey bulls are trying to compensate for their smaller size.

Looking for a nice heifer bull.

I'd ask to see results of the breeding soundness exam. I agree with Son of Butch, the bull's daughters might be good replacements.
