    Salebarn today

It appears the braunvieh example is typical of a rotating discounting process. It seems that changes periodically by breed/animal makeup....... and occurs without logical reasoning. At times a short tail...stub ears...from freezing....or some other minor condition..on a good animal... is used...

    Global warming revisited

With God's plan to cleanse the earth....per scriptures...global warmng may have begun many years ago. That does not give us a license to hasten it with carless treatment of our environemnt which was provided for us to carve out an existance. I believe what we are hearing from the scientific...

up date on fence..aka hatfields & McCoys

brownmule, If you feel you are on the right side...I would retain an attorney and have him enter a motion for restraining order for her harassing you. These things can get ugly. A few years ago a neighbor widow alleged that her late husband had purchased a 100 acre strip from the previous...

    Kingsnakes 1, Copperheads 0

There are several snakes that kill and eat poison snakes....king,black,bull,etc.,,,as I understand it. I have seen this fight last for upwards of 45 minutes with a moccosian and a king snake. We should be thankful for the balancing process given to us by G-d's natural design. The king snake...

    Survey prices?

tom.., Just had 8 acres surveyed two weeks ago...hills/woods/open...$450.00. The more surveyers around you the more modest the price...I understand. Don't hesitate to go outside your area for comparisons...especially if you only have 1 or 2 surveyers in your community.(I think I could have done...

    big cats in Missouri

When we read ..between the lines..of what some of these animal activists have to say..be ready for anything when you walk out the door in the AM dark. I see them purchasing predator animals raising them and then turning them loose. Black leopards are one that has been mentioned on the net. I...

    slaughtered a pig

sidney..., Looks like you got it under way. But, I don't see the bon fire and 55 gal drum of hot water to ripen him in. Also, where's the flat bed to lay him on for scraping? Sure looks familiar.

mnm..., I would yield to your area knowledge. However, Arn't those birch trees? How can you tell the trees are in spring stage? The leaves look full. Even tho it is a working area the lack of green grass and whats there is somewhat brown....fall color. I get the impression it may be late...

    Bees....serious.....help....

========== Ryder, Check out the article referenced in the first post. It seems something new is attacking them and scientists don't know yet....what. Scary... and is an example of how terrorists could play games...without the big weapons.

Karin, She's loaded alright. Are the springs ok now? :P Beautiful pics. but, you folks up north can enjoy it. We may make it thru this winter without our usual 1" or so snow....at 1/8th" or 1/4th" at a time. 8) Looks like we have a good chance.

NLCC, That is interesting. You must tell us some history of this association. Saw one of those guys a few years ago at a lake we flew into by Chapleau. Couldn't believe how close we were able to approach him before we decided it was close enough. Are you up in Canada? Beautiful...

    Bees....serious.....help....

We have a bee keeper nearby who had as many as 16 hives. He has 7 now. The honey is great as a sweetner and is better for us than sugar.

    Bees....serious.....help....

Their numbers have been on the decline because of a ..."parasitic bug called the varroa mite". But, apparently this is more disasterious, potentially.
