we went coonhuntin with the hounds about 3 weeks ago and a young gip decided to get trashy. made all the dogs get trashy for a little while. this is what they trashed on. we have never had our dogs bay up a hog. i wasnt sure what he was gonna do but he was focused on the dogs didnt pay us...

OK Jeanne, my uncle used that Juicy Fruit trick and swore by it. he never had any mounds on his place. each time he seen one he would un wrap a piece of juicy fruit and drop it near the mound. he said it has to be Juicy Fruit tho they wont mess with any other. they eat the gum and it wont pass...

i am talking about feeding them shell corn a couple of weeks or so not toppin them out.

alot of the taste had to do with the size of the hog. the big trophy boars or any boars over 170-180 lbs are gonna have that strong boar hog smell and taste. best eating size is 25 to 100 lbs my opinion. i like to keep them awhile and feed them and clean them out then you know what they been eating.

try dropping a stick of juicy fruit gum near the mounds. then see if you notice any new mounds. ;-)

try spraying or shredding weeds,cutting and rakeing hay,plowing or disking fields where the hogs have rooted. try workin cattle on a four wheeler or horse where hogs have rooted up fields. just try driveing across a field where the hogs have been rooting in your trucks. all of those wishing they...

that is a hybrid 3/4 wolf 1/4 malmute he dont belong to me the person he belongs to had to get a permit to keep him in town. folks in these parts usually keep their dogs in a pen or tied so when they are not home the dogs arent traveling around causeing problems.

yep we got hogs galore around here. my nephew traps them and there are alotta folks with hog dogs around. lotta javalina's showing up now too. we mostly hunts blueticks and black and tans. there is a redbone and walker around here too. :lol: here are a few of my ol dogs. Tracey Tuff...

any hunters amongst the folks here? i like to dove hunt, deer hunt, squirrell hunt just about any thing. i also coonhunt with a few ol hounds every now and then.
