IMO-would think this ration should work fine for what you want to do. Just make sure they have adequate hay, grass or other roughage. Also probably need to feed loose mineral that has 2+:1, ca:phos ratio, not a 12:12 mineral like so many sell. Maybe look for a ddg balancer mineral.

Think most Tx panhandle yards have banks that will finance both feed and cattle if you invest required equity when cattle bought. Most of these yards will also partner with you on a pen of cattle. Just use the combo when concerned that didn't get calf pulled and treated quick enough. Seems it takes zactran or draxxin longer to see improvement than baytril so the combo speeds the process over just zactran or draxxin.

Put tank in a separate pen and open gate for only 3-4 days/wk by alternating days. Have done this before to limit consumption. If too much consumption reduce days and if too little add a day. Just try to hit your desired average on a weekly basis.
