Bull too young to produce a quality calf???

My plans for this young 10 mo old Angus bull were to possibly breed him at 2 years old. However I just saw him attempting to breed a 3 yr old Angus cow in standing heat. Don't know if it will consummate in a pregnancy or not because of the difference in their height. Question is, if he did...

    Bull puberty

I have two baby bulls aged 5 months. At what age can they get a female pregnant? They are black angus and are very healthy. I don't want to separate them from the rest of the herd until I have to, but I don't want them to breed accidentally. How should I manage this situation? Thanks!

    A good nurse cow?

Just saw one of my 1st calf heifers letting her own calf AND another calf nurse her at the same time. The two calves were born a couple of days apart and have been buddies since. Like to know if this is pretty normal or kind-of rare. Should I keep her for a nurse just in case I need her later...

    Hernia

A few months ago I bought a 5 mo. old angus-breed heifer calf. I didn't think anything about the patch of skin hanging down her abdomen about 3" until I heard the term "hernia" mentioned. My question is...is this a problem which will affect her future as a breeder (I want to build a herd), or...

    Done with AI

I was considering AI for my virgin heifers but my vet said the virgins are harder to impregnate by AI so I'll have to rent a good young angus bull in the Ft. Worth area.
