I have two baby bulls aged 5 months. At what age can they get a female pregnant? They are black angus and are very healthy. I don't want to separate them from the rest of the herd until I have to, but I don't want them to breed accidentally. How should I manage this situation? Thanks!

Just saw one of my 1st calf heifers letting her own calf AND another calf nurse her at the same time. The two calves were born a couple of days apart and have been buddies since. Like to know if this is pretty normal or kind-of rare. Should I keep her for a nurse just in case I need her later...

That's ok. I'll just keep on truckin till I find someone to do this for me. I don't know why but I figgered it wouldn't be so easy to get it done. I'm looking at Dr. Stroud to help me out now but the holiday is in the way now(smile).

I was considering AI for my virgin heifers but my vet said the virgins are harder to impregnate by AI so I'll have to rent a good young angus bull in the Ft. Worth area.
