Take somebody with more experience breeding black than I have. With everything turning black I would guess that it's not too difficult to make them mostly black calves. Although I think the charolais woud be tough because of the diluter gene.? I see examples like what you posted throughout...

From the outside looking in, if you've got black hides, or can raise black hides with a bull investment, you're in the catbird seat for this market. Seems like if you want to buy in to black hide cows though, ROI might be a little short or at least longer term.?

And the second group should be bred back vs open on the first group. Older but better, threes vs pairs, cheaper. :2cents:

The one I just sold got a 39cc and 89% at 19 mos. The torpedo/ " garbage can" was the most uncomfortable part for him it appeared. The electrical charge made him kick his right rear once or twice and then done. Intersting to watch this kind of stuff.

BP, If your AI cows are 110 days, that would put you live covers at about 92 days or less. The vet that I used would have been pretty high percentage on judging between the two at that point in talking with him.

Excellent tool indeed. My cost is about twice or more what yours is so I have pencil out the value of it to me. No doubt it is a great tool to have available though.
