We had a show steer last year that we bought from someone else so he was not related to any of our cows and he would always nurse anyone who had milk and would let him. He never did stop so we could not let him out with any cows or heifers. He would try to nurse them even if they did not have milk.

Heatseeker should not be PHA. There's nothing in his pedigree that would indicate PHA and so far all of his son's have tested neg. He is TH positive. Our bull is out of a PHA carrier and we bred him to our heatseekers and all the calves are fine. So I would not worry but it never hurts to have...
