Nexen's came on the truck I have now, good all round tire. I didn't think they lasted very long so tire shop said BF Goodrich would last longer, no they won't. Had Toyo AT's on one truck, good on the road, sorry ass snow tire, didn't last no time.

Ya'll notice it's the ford owners who need multiple choices of the same vehicle, I guess if you want a ford for a daily driver, you need 6 or 7 of them to make it through the week. :lol:

The old 6 spline 1-3/8, 540 rpm, pto is only good for handling about 80 hp, the newer 21 spline, !-3/8 shaft will handle about 200 hp at the pto. If your tractor puts out more hp than that, it should have a catogory 4 hitch and pto with a 1-3/4 20 spline shaft.

One of our neighbors, a weekender, has a 4ft x 4ft solar panel that runs his hotwater heater, I could steal that sucker, mount on the hood of the tractor, probably charge the battery in a couple of minutes :) He's a federal court judge in DC, so if he caught me with it, I'm sure he would be...

Tried this on the old one to see if it would help, it didn't. The new one didn't need it, it started charging as soon as the tractor started, when it quit, I tried it, but it made no difference.

If I charge the battery with the charger, I can get about 10/12 starts out of it on cold days, when the engines cold, before it dies, without pluging in the block heater. So I think the battery good. Of coarse, when it's getting charged while the tractors running, I never have a problem starting...

Got an old Ford 5000 tractor that stopped charging, It had a old rebuilt generator on it, so I replaced it with a new one, still didn't charge, so I got a new regulator, stuck that on and it was back to charging again :) . It worked fine for about a week of feeding hay, probably about only 4 or...

I carry an old paint brush with me, it gets right down in the grooves around the filler caps, cleans all the gunk out.
