    John Deere

Simme said, "Pre DPF and DEF tractors bring a premium for a reason." Note the work AND. He was not comparing DPF and DEF, he was saying pre- both of them! For Kubota that would be the xx40 series of tractors. They are worth as much or more now then when they were new.

Need Some Help with Long Tractor

You say, "No crank, no run". Need to have a good battery. Have it tested under load to be sure no dead cells. Clean all cables, positive and negative. Often the problem is the ground cable never replaced or had the ends cleaned. Be sure to remove the end at the tractor frame and clean to a...

    Stihl chain.

I was talking to a guy who owns a saw store, repairs and sell chain saws. I was asking about some chain and bar for a hydraulic saw. He told me he can not make up saw chains. His insurance won't allow it. Is that a common problem with small shops? Seems to be something fairly recent for him...

    Repurposed the 94 Chevy 2500

The 6.5 was based on a Detroit's design and built by GM. I've never had an oil dripping problem from a 6.5.

    Jetting Water Wells

I have a hand dug well that is about 6' dia. laced with large rock, 23' down to the muck and mud, then 3' to the bottom. Has a hand pump at the top setting on a concrete slap. I also installed a shallow well pump that supplies a automatic waterer and a couple of hydrants. I have tried to...

    Repurposed the 94 Chevy 2500

You sure you don't have a Detroit in that?;)

    Repurposed the 94 Chevy 2500

I've got a '95 half ton 4x4 with a 6.5. Has a Hiniker snow plow mount on the front and a Miller welder in the back. Starts no matter what temp. runs like a top, but now it's a mobile rust pile! I've had a couple of guys ask me why I'm putting diesel in it before! Not many half ton diesels.

    Battery Powered Chainsaw

A friend has a Stihl pruner saw. It's like 4" bar. He was helping me with a project and he was using that to cut some shrubs in a fence in town. My wife was there and he showed her what he was doing and let her use it for a bit. She said she wanted one, and this was early December so I...

    Battery Powered Chainsaw

One of the features of a battery powered chain saw is when you let off the trigger the motor stops. Nice feature of youngsters helping and perhaps some women. I needed a leaf blower to clean out gutters so I bought the most powerful one I could fine, EGO. It has a 56V system. So when I wanted...

    That was not expected

Wonder where the spring that was behind the valve went! That is probably out of the loader valve and once it was replaced the system was OK except for the restriction. I'd have them reinstall the 3rd function. It's a nice (and expensive option).

    Dodge trailer lights (rig around)

Don't set it afire, roll it into a pond. Same results, but easier to explain to ins. It slipped out of gear and rolled in. :( :(

Mid size vs full size gator

I was thinking, be nice to just have "good tires"!

    Bent brackets on loader bucket

What is really odd is there are no scrapes in the paint (wear marks) on the bucket anywhere, in the bucket, on the bottom of the bucket, or the cutting edge. Like it's never been used.

    Bent brackets on loader bucket

I purchased this bucket from a salvage yard. It appears to be unused. No paint missing in the bucket, sides of bucket, or the bottom of the bucket. So my question is how do the brackets that hold the quick attach plate locking pin get so bent up? That is the only thing different then a new...

    Limbsaw for tractor bucket

Has anyone use one of these, or one similar? Hydraulic saw mounted on top of loader bucket. I've got a $600 Stihl poll saw but after a bit of that my back, neck and balance give up! They're made in Oklahoma.

    Ford Ranger

I wouldn't own a Ford Ranger simply because they are too small inside. No leg room, no head room, no butt room! I bought a nice clean used 4x4 (a few year ago) thinking it would be an economical run around truck that wouldn't get stuck. In less than a year I sold it. I'm 6'4 so height matters.

    Here's a real mule

I disagree with your price evaluation. All mechanical things are currently at outrageous prices based on a short few years ago. Supply is short, so prices are up and then news keeps telling the listeners, so they know they have to pay. Posting a price isn't the selling price, it's the...

    Rebuilds a sunken boat

This engine doesn't look like it has a chance of running again, much less the turbo. You can play this back at 1.5 and save some time.
