    Who would have thunk..

Sorry, but if you promise to only keep it for a few days I'll loan the clouds my GPS! I'm not saying it's raining in the wrong place, but we really had to search for 3 dry days to cut hay. I mowed Saturday with at least a 20% chance of rain / thunderstorms every day. Luckly as we were loading...

How dry is it for you folks in your neck of the woods

Here it's rained daily for the last 2 weeks, not sure how much we've had but it'll rain for 3-4 hrs then quit for 4-5, giving the creeks time to go down. Monday we had minor flooding cause of a steady downpour Sunday night. I'm going to have to make hay out of my yard if it doesn't stop soon...

    High Steppers

Grouse are one of my favorite things to hunt, like you I've never used dogs either. I just love the challange to shoot straight when I'm scared $@#*less. There's not any "Bob Whites" around here either, I think the coyotes got em. Nice picture, Jo :tiphat:

    Disc mower cover??

Thanks, Dun I figure the tarp will wear fast but I only put up about 25 ac, 1st and 2nd cutting. Since I've kinda spend my wad, I'm looking for a way to economize at least for a year or 2. I've been replacing other parts on other eq. since everything i've gotten was used and who knows what else...

    WV Farm Machinery Auction

LOL, There's the Beef Expo in Jane Lew this weekend! It's only about 25 miles from me so I'm "sure" I'll make this one! Not sure why, Wifey is now asking me what else I "have" to have. Since Feb. I've bought a disc mower, a tedder & a baler. Luckly just cost me a bit more than my tax refund, it...

    Feeding minerals and salt

My vet told me to use any mineral w/ "Zinnpro" . Says it supposed to help the cattle utilize more of the mineral. Now I can't find it, coop says it's been replaced with "Avail" (not sure of the spellings). Anybody have an opinion on that? At first I couldn't keep the mineral but now 50#'s last...

Adjusting bale tightness on a round baler

That's the book i'd like to have, it's the normal adjustments that I need to know, usually one way or another stuff gets figured out, but it sure is alot easier with the book! If the books too big I'd hate for you to spend too much time scanning/copying it. I'm heading to an old hesston dealer...

Adjusting bale tightness on a round baler

Yep, that's the way my luck's running too, according to most of the previous post. But, I did buy it knowing it would have to be worked on. That's the way I gotta do it. Now I'm just wondering that if the Govt. can spend itself out of the hole, maybe i should have a shovel....

Adjusting bale tightness on a round baler

Dang, I sure don't like what i've been reading, but it sounds just like my luck, :( Last year we used a JD 500 and fought all of those bales that got jammed. I had to keep a hookbill knife with me just to cut the hay off of the roller, and, like it sounds for the Hesston, if the hays not really...
