    Diesel fuel and ice

The first time it froze I wasn't sure that the water had just built up over time or where it came from. But I drained the fuel tank and put alcohol in the drained tank to melt the ice then drained it again. I filled it back up and less than three weeks it freezes up again makes me think that...

    Cow in heat

I have an older cow that had a calf and the next day she came in heat. The bull and steers were about to kill the new born calf. I got her in a lot separated from the rest of the herd. Cow and calf are doing fine there. I'm wondering how long to keep her separated? I never had this to...

Why are cattle prices following corn prices up?

Probably not supply and demand but inflation. Inflation is like raising taxes to the government. Lowers the debt. Fred

    What is she thinking?

[ We've got a cow that for the first week if she sees or hears you you takes off for the tall timber with her calf no matter how young it is. After a week she's fine. Last year she finally decided we were ok I guess cause she would hang around and not take off. That was with her 7th calf...

    Tail problem

I have an older cow with a tail problem. She doesn't seem to have any control of it, like it is paralyzed. She raises good calves and I don't want to get rid of her if possible. Her tail is constantly covered with manure. Fred

    Pinkeye

This summer I had several cases, bull is blinded in one eye, the cows have recovered after medication, got one calf that had it in both eyes. He was blind as a bat for a while, ran into fences...

    Buying Baler...need guideance

I have a 54 hp tractor and work hay baler with it. I bought a used Heston 530 when I got tired of picking up square bales. It weighs less than my square baler but around here there is a lot of hills so I have to be careful that I don't turn it over or let the bales get away. I have let a...

    Galvanized metal removal

I don't know if it will work or not but just don't breath the fumes. I know that the fumes from cutting galvanized metal with a cutting torch are toxic so it stands to reason the muriatic acid would be worse.

    Pondering

My cat ounce brought me a half grown rabbit live and turned it loose in the house. She rolled on the floor laughing as I chased that rabbit around the house. Finally cornered it behind the refrigerator and caught it. Fred ( :devil2: cat)
