More likely caused by high grain, high energy, high phosphorus diet creating highly aklaline rumen. I've known a couple of old goat men that would have it incorporated into their feed as well but feed also always had an adequate amount of ammonium chloride in it to prevent urinary calculi.

Hard to get them to eat mineral many times as well. I've not seen a mineral with poloxalene in the ingredients which is the common bloat preventive. Most of these pressed blocks like the one Sweetlix makes they will actually bite off pieces of it rather than licking as it has some pretty tasty...

Accuration can be fed free choice. There are a number of rations with varying consumption levels so just make sure you buy the right one. One of the few Purina products I personally like and have used. Consumption will be as advertised.
