    Lubrication

I always had used OB lube when AI'ing my cows. Someone told me they use mineral oil because it is less abrasive. Of course there is always natural lubrication. :P I started wondering what other types of lubrication people use and why.

We usually feed a 50/50 mix of soybean hull pellets and corn gluten pellets. We buy them premixed in the large ton bags. I just called and our feed store doesn't have any corn gluten and doesn't know when they will get any in. Now I got to figure out a different feed regime or find a...

I think this would be a fun topic to kick around. Have you noticed a correlation between a calf's sex and how close a cow gets to her due date? For example, she went over her due date so it is probably a bull.

    Can't Find Her

Good news! I finally found her. She was hiding and I would not have seen her if she had not warned me I was too close. Mama and baby girl are fine.

Well, we have a cow due on July 3rd. She has been bagging up good. I went to check on her last night. I told my husband I thought she would have it last night. Well, he went to check on her this morning and can't find her. I assume that I was right and she had the calf last night. I am...
