Local guy wants me to haul 100 rolls of hay to his farm, each haul would be 70 mile round trip? I know I need to factor in fuel, my time/labor, wear/tear on my equipment. What am I leaving out? I want to be fair but also make a profit where it’s worth it and he knows this.

I’m exploring hauling cattle locally from sale barns. Anyone on here do it? With diesel prices I can’t see doing it for less than $5 a mile as most hauls would be 75 miles or less.

I’m off this week and need to work our first calf heifers. There is 16 total and 6 havent calved yet. We just have a head gate and no squeeze. They will be getting vaccinated, worked and old fly tags pulled out. Is it too hard/dangerous to work these heavy breds? They are 8 months or more.
